I'm a product designer and recent University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign graduate who discovered this passion for solving user-centric problems while studying industrial engineering.
Art has always been my grounding force—how I de-stress, focus, and find fulfillment. From designing custom duct tape wallets and intricate Silly Bandz bracelets as a kid to practicing Madhubani art for years, creativity has shaped my life.
One of my earliest "design project" was creating a duct tape receipt holder for my mom to organize receipts and reduce her cognitive load and physical strain of carrying them. This small project introduced me to the power of carefully observing users, identifying pain points, anticipating needs, and crafting thoughtful solutions.
That's what drew me to product design: the blend of creativity, empathy, and data-driven problem-solving. Instead of assembly lines or business systems, I now channel my engineering mindset into creating seamless, user-friendly experiences for real people.
I find drawing super therapeutic. When I need to unplug, I enjoy creating Madhubani art, paintings, and even homemade birthday cards!
I think exploring the world is one of the best ways to learn about design, whether that may be from nature, architecture, fashion, or local cuisine - there is so much to appreciate. Whenever I'm able to, I try to visit my family, long distance friends, or a new city.
I’m an avid coffee and chai drinker and, recently, a barista at my local coffee shop on weekends. I felt like this was the perfect way to jump start the process of making friends after moving to a new city AND to learn a new skill I've always been interested in.
